First waka ,inquiry

Originally there were no people in New Zealand. The first people to settle in New Zealand come in a series of waka.
This activity was to find information about the first ten waka's that journeyed to Aotearoa.

The ten names for the waka were: Kurahaupō, Tākitimu, Mataatua, Tainui, Te Arawa, Aotea, Tokomaru, Horouta, Uruao, Ārai-te-uru. These waka's were traditional to the Maori and Poleynesians.

The objective of this activity was to build an understanding of where the first ten waka's journeyed to.
